If anything characterizes the artist is his way of perceiving the world. Learning to look is nothing more than seeing the world from another point of view.

We propose a simple exercise to get in touch with our environment. Stop and be aware of what we see. We are going to take it to the field of the materials that surround us at home.

As an exercise we will look for possible materials at home to make a three-dimensional piece. We will observe how the nature of each material influences the shape of the pieces.

We illustrate with some examples from various authors.
