Zen philosophy is the basis of Raku, a ceramic that is closely linked to the tea ceremony, so highly valued by the Japanese people. Born in the 16th century, Raku is a method of firing ceramics that consists of removing the pieces from the red-hot kiln and subjecting them to a thermal shock. They are then placed on combustible materials, such as leaves or sawdust, giving rise to unique and unrepeatable effects on the pieces.

This workshop consists of two sessions:
A first theoretical one in which the process will be explained and the pieces will be created with different construction techniques.
A second one in which the enameling and firing will be done.
No previous knowledge is necessary.
