The specialty is developed over four school years, CERAMICS I, II, III and IV and are taught simultaneously in the same workshop.

Nowadays, clay is increasingly used for architectural or sculptural creation. Ceramics is one of the means of expression at the service of artists and with the same category as any other material. Ceramics, whether intended to please, naked or smoked pottery, raw or glazed, sculpture or miniature, architecture or decorative object ...... so many variants to satisfy the creative act.

To introduce and deepen in the world of plastic arts and the history of art, through the ceramics workshop, introducing the different pastes or clays, as well as the materials and tools used in this discipline.

Days and hours: 

  • Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 12:00h (Ceramics in the morning)
  • Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 17:00 to 19:00h ( Ceramics afternoon)
  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm ( Ceramics at night)

Course level: I, II, III and IV

Access conditions: None for the 1st course

Duration: School year from September to June

  • Clay.
  • Kneading.
  • Manual elaboration of forms.
  • The potter's wheel.
  • Finishing of parts.
  • Drying.
  • Oven and baking.
  • Preparation and application of engobes and glazes.
  • Decorative techniques.
