ENGRAVING EXHIBITION

The exhibition Walden, life in the Woods recreates the woods, the cabin, the lakes, life in nature with its inhabitants, but above all the experience lived there by its author, Henry David Thoreau. We find ourselves before a group of 32 prints, executed following the procedures of intaglio engraving, which given their specificity, we present them as etchings, aquatints, drypoints or soft varnishes, alone or also gathered in the same plate. The effects achieved are clean lines, chiaroscuro and textures that are enhanced with the proper selection of inks. Under the coordination of Professor Lauren Aliende, the authors are 22 students of the intaglio engraving workshop of the School of Arts and Crafts of Vitoria - Gasteiz, as many ways of looking.
