In this youth workshop, students are introduced to the world of drawing and painting, and can continue their studies over the course of several school years.

The purpose of the Youth Art workshop is to help students acquire technical, perceptive and expressive skills through the knowledge and use of the resources of plastic languages (drawing, painting, line, stroke, color, etc.).

At the same time, it aims to promote the development of imagination, creativity, critical reasoning and cooperative work.

Days of the week and schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday; from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm (one day a week).

Access conditions: From 8 to 15 years old

Duration: School year from September to June

CONTENTS

  • Drawing practice: line, change of scale, fitting, hatching ....
  • Color: primaries, secondaries, cold and warm ranges, contrast, saturation, luminosity....
  • Approach and understanding of fundamental concepts of Art as well as its history through the interpretation of works, movements and styles.
  • Study of form, proportion, detail, value, texture, space (perspective, spatial situation, projected shadow...).
  • Basic principles such as unity, harmony, balance, rhythm, movement, variety and emphasis.
  • Use of various techniques and tools, both two-dimensional and three-dimensional, from the most traditional to the most contemporary and even digital techniques.

OBJECTIVES

  • Encourage expression and communication through plastic language.
  • Promote teamwork.
  • To develop the desire to experiment.
  • Encourage reflection, observation and creativity.
  • Strengthen motivation and create habits of order, cleanliness, perseverance and participation.
  • To develop skills and techniques of plastic expression.
